Shaukat Himayat Husain Mufti completed his post graduation with specialization in Personnel Management and Labour welfare and Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy from University of Lucknow. He served for about 30 years in various responsible administrative capacities in reputed educational institutions and worked as a Dy. Registrar and Founder Member Jamia Hamdard A-Grade University, New Delhi. He also worked as Director (Admn.) in Singhania University Rajasthan, attended training programme on Management & Development of University Administration, acted as convener Foreign Students Committee, Cultural Coordinator, Programme officer NSS, member placement committee, sports committee, organizing committee, for convocation, nominated as a member twice in highest body of the society of Jamia Hamdard, besides working with so many Vice-Chancellors in the different Universities & most of the best part of his life spent in academic institutions.
In March 1982, he was invited by Honorable President/Founder Chancellor (Late Hakeem Abdul Hameed) Institute of History of Medicine and Medical Research (declared as deemed to be a university namely Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi). The President offered him administrative position in the erstwhile institution and asked him to work on the line for establishment of a new university. He worked very hard to promote education and health services in the institution.
Besides, Shaukat Himayat Husain Mufti was deputed as an Administrative Officer to look after the day to day activities of Majeedia Hospital.

Contribution to the Establishment of Paramedical College, Moradabad
Shaukat Himayat Husain Mufti was invited by the Chairman of the reputed AhsanTtrust JP Nagar to join as Director (Admn.) to start Ahsan Paramedical College and Hospital (Affiliated to UP state Medical Faculty, UP Govt. Lucknow.) He started courses such as Diploma in Optometry, OT, Physiotherapy, and Hospital sanitation. He was also invited by Hon’be Chairman (Sri Ram Educational Trust) to join as Registrar General in GNIT Group of Institutions Gr. Noida. The Group has seven colleges and running under graduate engineering course such as B. Tech. in seven disciplines, M. Tech., MBA, MCA, and PGDM.. The group has a strength of more than 5000 students and about 100 teaching faculty.
